Vorsicht bei Werbung mit "Olympia"

Die Olympischen Sommerspiele sind "in aller Munde", auf verschiedenen TV-Kanälen sowie natürlich auch im Internet präsent. Das Ereignis kurzfristig in die unternehmenseigene Werbung einzubinden, ist jedoch nach Angaben der IHK Saarland nicht gestattet. Ein Schutzgesetz gesteht nur dem Deutschen Olympischen Sportbund (DOSB) und dem IOC die Rechte auf die Verwendung und Verwertung des olympischen Emblems und der olympischen Bezeichnungen zu. Werbeslogans wie etwa: "Anlässlich der olympischen Spiele gewähren wir auf alle Sportartikel 20 Prozent Rabatt", sind nur nach einer Bestätigung der Zulässigkeit durch den Deutschen Olympischen Sportbund denkbar - und zwar bevor sie verwendet werden.
