Weiterer Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit im Februar: Unternehmen nutzen verstärkt Kurzarbeit, um Stammbelegschaften zu halten

"Die Arbeitslosigkeit an der Saar ist im Februar nur leicht gestiegen und liegt noch immer unter Vorjahresniveau. Dafür sorgt nicht zuletzt der verstärkte Einsatz arbeitsmarktpolitischer Instrumente: Vor allem Industrieunternehmen nutzen in wachsendem Umfang Kurzarbeit, um sich der gesunkenen Nachfrage anzupassen und dennoch ihre Stammbelegschaften zu halten. Hoffnung macht uns bei der IHK, dass sich die konjunkturelle Abwärtsdynamik offenbar abschwächt. Dennoch stehen uns noch einige schwierige Monate bevor, ehe sich die Konjunktur stabilisieren und zum Jahresende hin leicht erholen wird." So kommentiert der stv. IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer Hermann Götzinger die heute (26. Februar 2009) von der Regionaldirektion der Bundesanstalt für Arbeit vorgelegten Arbeitsmarktzahlen für das Saarland.
