The airport industry is driving digitization more than ever before. It therefore relies on solution-oriented innovation to meet today's demands for reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. Modern IT systems are particularly in demand in the wake of the pandemic, as there is a shortage of skilled workers at airports worldwide.
It is against this background that the organisers of the inter airport Europe trade fair in Munich present the annual Innovation Award for new products and technologies. In 2023 these solutions could be chosen in four categories: Data, Terminal, GSE, and Sustainability. ISO Software Systeme GmbH entered the AOCC of the SKYport Airport Management Suite and won in the category "Data".
Digital Control Centre AOCC
The Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) is the control centre of any airport. This is where everything comes together, from check-in to parking to pushback. At large airports, thousands of transactions take place here every minute. Countless employees are constantly giving and receiving information across the airport's many square kilometres. AOCCs are now used to remotely control multiple airports simultaneously from a single control centre.
"We are very proud of our SKYport AOCC and are delighted that it has received the recognition it deserves in this competition," said Martin Pauli, Sales Director for Airport Management at ISO Software Systeme GmbH. "Together with our long-term customers, some of whom have been relying on our airport solutions for more than 20 years, we have continuously developed SKYport and adapted it to current requirements. The result is a state-of-the-art software suite that has proven itself at airports from small to large".
