Sky-BI is a tool for planning and forecasting of air traffic and aviation charges. Also, flexible and powerful reports can be generated from both, actual and planned data.
Sky-BI simulates prospective traffic using seasonal schedules (summer / winter). By using load factors Sky-BI forecasts the passenger throughput. Aviation charges can be calculated from the traffic data. The complete planning process is capable of supporting multiple scenarios such as best case, worst case, a new airline entering the market, new routes, routes performing well or poor, different charges, etc. Thus Sky-BI provides well-grounded answers on „what-if“ queries for decision-making.
Bremen airport expects Sky-BI to significantly speed up their planning process such enabling multiple business scenarios to be evaluated in a dependable way. The airport turned again to ISO because of ISO’s standardised product offering avoiding a costly customization.
The project is intended to take place in the second quarter of 2008. Siemens IT Solutions and Services is going to act as a general contractor while ISO contributes their product, their airport business knowledge and the required implementation services. The Siemens and ISO collaboration with airports is a well-proven model at a lot of airport IT projects in Europe and Asia.
