PILOT can be used by different management levels and users. PILOT contains various masks, views and functions for the different working fields of the different managers. PILOT distinguishes between four fields:
-Commercial View:
On this screen the responsible manager sees the most important key indicators (e.g. turn over, costs, commission). With simple drill-down-functions you can break down the data basis from a literally global company overview into smaller units, down to destinations and single locations.
-Product View:
The product manager will identify with one view which products are the best sellers in the period under observation and which ones are “shelf warmers”. By comparing the actuals with the previous year and with the plan figures PILOT delivers valuable information about those areas that are running out of the rudder.
-Operations View:
This masks helps to gain a detailed overview of the booking developments in the period you choose. It includes information about the status, the value, the margin, etc. of the bookings. These figures can be analyzed in total or per sales channel.
-Administration View:
This menu item contains the usual administrative functions, such as the user set up, access right management, timer settings, file path set-up, etc. Furthermore the managers can set their individual query parameters, for their standard “every morning overview”.
For the data navigation, PILOT provides for a flexible interface which imports all relevant business data from the reservation system. PILOT offers also the possibility to export data from predefined evaluations and queries in usual data formats such as XLS, XML..
The new system can be used by every tourism company.
The first version of PILOT will be presented at ITB 2007 (7th-11th March).
