ISO Travel Solcutions traditionally stages its abilities and innovative capacity in tourism IT during the ITB in Berlin, the world’s largest tourism trade fair. There, the company from Nuremberg will present, among other things, new solutions in the filed of Cache and Big Data along with a tool to analyze Social Media content.
Cache and Big Data
Everyone is talking about topics like Cache or Player. ISO Travel Solutions is the first tourism software provider in the market to make use of technologies which have proved successful in other industries. One of the solutions is the Dynamic Recommendation System for controlling the sales process. For this, the customers receive rule-based up-selling and cross-selling recommendations to boost sales and increase margins.
Only established technologies from the field of Big Data, such as those used by Amazon, Facebook or eBay, are relied on. In contrast to the proprietary solutions from other vendors, these technologies provide better performance. They are used all over the world and enhanced in open source communities, thus ensuring their future. ISO used tools like Mongo-DB and Netty along with Apache Hadoop and Apache Mahout.
Facebook evaluation now part of CRM Emerald
The CRM system Emerald can now analyze and prepare Facebook content. Using computer-linguistic methods, the system analyzes posts and displays the most positive and most negative entries. The users can then immediately recognize which entries are of high priority and require a special handling. Posts can be answered, forwarded or deleted all within Emerald – no need to leave the system.
Thanks to the integration with Emerald, Facebook content is available immediately for multi-channel marketing.
Pacific Extensions – Incoming and Cruises
The web-based reservation system Pacific has been enhanced: At the ITB, ISO will introduce for the first time the new Incoming module, which is based on the high-performance booking kernel Pacific. It supports all procedures for incoming operators with many additional functions and automatisms. These include a separate quota management on both purchasing and sales side including yield management. Also available is a function for handling group bookings and pricing. In addition, the module can process specific source market prices, descriptions or terms, and manage local taxes.
Thanks to ISO’s many years of experience in the cruise sector, Pacific has been equipped with various specific features for cruise operators. Besides a special yield management, booking deck plans, cruise itineraries and cruise-specific documents are also manageable.
