Schneider Electric's ITB, the well known manufacturer of the APC (http://www.apc.com) brand power protection and management solutions, has selected iTAC Software, for the deployment of a harmonized MES solution across its 14 facilities worldwide. In addressing Traceability, Conformity and Quality management, the chosen MES solution will support ITB in further improving its Supply Chain Excellence. Scheduled to run for two years, the project scope includes Oracle ERP integration, Test, Assembly, SMD manufacturing, Repair and Shipping process traceability and conformity management, a Global Manufacturing Data Warehouse and Supply Chain Traceability.
The project deploys the Supply Chain Traceability (SCT) module, one of iTAC’s most recent developments. Unique on the market, SCT allows the fourteen Schneider Electric plants to leverage a global view of traceability data across Supply Chain movements around the globe. In parallel, iTAC’s Master Data Management (MDM) solution provides Schneider Electric IT Business with a powerful application to manage all the MES master data used in each of its facilities, enabling further harmonization of manufacturing processes and systems.
In being selected for this project, following an extensive vendor benchmark, iTAC Software re-enforces its partnership with the Schneider Electric group, with some 40 plants covered or under deployment across all continents.
