Die KVM Pioniere aus Texas melden sich mit einem einzigartigen KVM Switch zurück. Die Qualität der DVI Signalquellen wird beim Rose Electronics Orion erstmalig über einen Matrixschalter geführt. Somit ermöglicht der Orion höchste Auflösungen bis 1920x1200 bzw. bald auch 2560x2048 (Duallink in Entwicklung) in Verbindung mit grossen Distanzen. Die Server werden an Local Units angeschlossen und über CatX oder Glasfaser-Kabel mit dem Orion verbunden. Die Monitore werden über Remote Units ebenfalls über CatX oder Glasfaser Kabel an den Orion angeschlossen. Die Steuerung erfolgt über ein OSD. Es können verschieden Konfigurationen gewählt werden. Als DVI-D Crosspoint Switch werden 32 Rechner über 16 User gesteuert. Bei einer Dual-Head Konfiguration steuern 8 User 16 Rechner und bei der Quad Head Konfiguration werden 8 Rechner durch 4 User gesteuert. Das System ist ideal für Leitstände, weil mehrere Monitore einem speziellen Arbeitsplatz zugeordnet werden können. Es ist ebenso als Video Matrix im Digital Signage einsetzbar.
