JAKOB Antriebstechnik GmbH offers five different stainless steel couplings as standard series: the metal bellows couplings KG-VA, KGH-VA and MKG-VA, the distance coupling series WD-VA and the elastomer coupling EKM-VA. It is particularly noteworthy that both the metal bellows coupling KGH-VA and the WD-VA series are manufactured in a very easy-to-assemble half-shell hub design. This design enables easy assembly and disassembly, even in confined spaces. The fixed hub halves are simply placed on the shaft and screwed to the loose half-shell pieces. This saves time, especially with fixed shaft journals, as the time-consuming disassembly of the drive and/or output unit is no longer necessary. Thanks to their rust-proof stainless steel construction, these couplings are also ideal for use in the food industry.
The KG-VA series can be used at temperatures up to 350 °C and is designed for shaft diameters of 10 to 90 mm and torques of 30 to 1000 Nm. The KGH-VA series is wear-free and maintenance-free, can also be used up to 350 °C and covers shaft diameters of 7 to 85 mm and torques of 10 to 1200 Nm. It is available in variable lengths with 2- or 4-wave bellows.
The MKG-VA is a miniature metal bellows coupling with clamping hub, available with 2- or 4-wave bellows, which can transmit up to 15 Nm and can be used up to 350 °C.
New to the range is the EKM-VA elastomer coupling, which can transmit torques of up to 500 Nm and can be used up to temperatures of 90 °C. It has an easy-to-assemble clamping hub.
The WD-VA distance coupling is available in variable lengths of up to 3 m and ensures backlash-free torque transmission. It can also be used up to 350 °C and is suitable for shaft diameters from 7 to 85 mm with torques from 10 to 1200 Nm.
