OTT-Jakob und Jakob Antriebstechnik laden nach Darmstadt ein: Kollisionserkennung und -schutz in der Werkzeugmaschine

Zwei Firmen der Jakob-Gruppe laden am 29.11.2012 interessierte Ingenieure und Redakteure aus dem Bereich Werkzeugmaschinen zu einem Workshop am PTW Darmstadt ein. Fokus dieses Workshops sind Produktionsprozesse, sowie die radarbasierte Erkennung von Kollisionen, sowie die Vermeidung schwerer Schäden an Motorspindeln mithilfe des Schutzsystems MS³. Die Funktion dieses Systems wird anhand einer voll funktionsfähigen Werkzeugmaschine präsentiert. Abgerundet wird die Reihe von Fachvorträgen durch ein gemeinsames Mittagessen mit anschließendem Get-Together.

Ludwig Jakob gründete die Firma Jakob Maschinenteile GmbH 1971 nebenberuflich. Zunächst spezialisiert sie sich auf Kupplungen und Messgetriebe und erweitert kontinuierlich ihr Portfolio. Heute macht die Werkstück‐ und Werkzeugspannung einen großen Teil des Geschäftsfeldes des Unternehmens aus, aber auch der Bereich Servo‐ und Sicherheitskupplungen gehört noch immer zu ihren Stärken. Mit neuen Entwicklungen in allen Geschäftsfeldern versucht Jakob immer wieder, der Metallbearbeitungsbranche neue Impulse zu geben, Vorgänge zu optimieren und den Arbeitsplatz sicherer und bequemer zu machen. Jakob Antriebstechnik ist Teil der Jakob‐Gruppe, einem Zusammenschluss von acht mittelständischen Firmen des Bereichs Maschinenbau, die mittlerweile ca. 550 Mitarbeiter beschäftigt.
