Der Absatz an Neufahrzeugen ist in Europa im Juli um 1,0% im Vergleich zum Vorjahr zurückgegangen. Nach Angaben des internationalen Marktbeobachters JATO Dynamics in Limburg liegen zudem die Neuzulassungen seit Jahresbeginn um 1,7% hinter denen von 2010. Von den fünf größten europäischen Märkten konnte nur Deutschland ein positives Ergebnis erzielen. Frankreich, Großbritannien, Italien und Spanien hatten im Juli jeweils einen Absatzrückgang zu verzeichnen.
"Während der Neuwagenmarkt in Deutschland gut lief, schlugen die schlechten Verkaufsergebnisse vom Rest der fünf großen Märkte auf die Bilanz der Region als Ganzes durch", sagt Gareth Hession, Vizepräsident von JATO Research. "Die andauernde wirtschaftliche Unsicherheit in der Region wird weiterhin das Vertrauen der Verbraucher und damit den Absatz beeinflussen."
