Approximately 94 percent of survey respondents believe better visibility to be the second largest benefit in a top ten list of the most important advantages airlines can gain from outsourcing ULD management. These two advantages are followed by three classical outsourcing themes: cost savings by optimization (84 percent), ability to focus on core competencies (79
percent) and lowering operational costs and risks (74 percent).
The top ten list is rounded out by the benefits of better metrics, access to a global network and state-of-the-art technology and also the ability to offer higher service levels, as detailed in the table below.
