Upendra Chivukula, Democratic Party politician and Member of the New Jersey General Assembly has played a key role in shaping the energy policy practiced by the Democratic Party in New Jersey and will be answering questions from industry representatives and market participants. He will also be holding a keynote speech at the event. New Jersey State Senator Bob Smith who served in the Senate on the Environment Committee as Chair is also expected to attend. Both politicians will look at the impact the re-election of President Obama is likely to have on the solar industry in the USA.
Daniela Schreiber, Executive Vice President of Hoehner Research & Consulting USA Corporation will open the event. Session I will kick-off by looking at local developments and market dynamics in New Jersey, considered to be the birthplace of solar energy in the US, as well as other East Coast states. Insights and opinions will be provided here by Lyle Rawlings, Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Solar Energy Industries Association, and Wyldon Fishman, Founder and President of the New York Solar Energy Society.
Technological trends, financing and installer training will be discussed in the afternoon. The panel discussion with Boris Schubert, CEO of Q-Cells North America, Bret Young, Director of Sales for North America at Samil Power and Chris Wood, Sales Director at Centrosolar America Inc., will be chaired by Dennis Wilson, President of the Mid-Atlantic Solar Energy Industries Association.
