In response to the fast-growing popularity of 3D projectors worldwide, Schneider-Kreuznach has enhanced its Kino-Torsion mechanism and adapted the system for 3D projection. Kino-Torsion is a system developed by Schneider-Kreuznach that automatically places an anamorphic lens in front of an existing projector system. In the case of 3D projection, two polarizing filters have to be aligned simultaneously in front of two projectors. Kino-Torsion 3D has been developed especially for this purpose.
For professional and semi-professional viewings of 3D movies, not only two projectors are required, but also a polarizing filter and the corresponding polarized glasses. Of course, the Kino-Torsion 3D not only incorporates the lens attachments, but also the necessary Schneider-Kreuznach polarizing filters available with both linear and circular polarization. The complete system is controlled by a 12V trigger or an infrared remote control to guarantee easy switching between 2D and 3D projection. The distance between the lens mountings can be adjusted smoothly and thus adapted to almost all projection conditions. The Kino-Torsion stand is available in various lengths.
