Pentacon GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Schneider Group, has moved its production to new premises in Dresden. It now occupies a third more space with 12,000 square meters. At its previous site, the company reached its manufacturing capacity limits. In the new plant, it has now invested in additional machines, especially for mechanical manufacturing. “The move also helped us to optimize our production processes, which means that we can now manufacture faster and better,” says Michael Bledau, CEO of Pentacon. The company develops and manufactures on site in the areas of automotive, plastic injection moulding, optical measuring systems and mechanical manufacturing. In addition, it sells photographic equipment of the PRAKTICA brand worldwide. It employs around 150 members of staff at its plant in Dresden.
