Mit der Cool Green Technologie bietet JULABO auch umweltfreundliche Geräte für Labors an. Spezielle Thermostate arbeiten mit dem natürlichen Kältemittel R290, einem Kohlenwasserstoff mit sehr niedrigem GWP-Wert (Global Warming Potential) von 3. Damit reduzieren diese Geräte ökologische Einflüsse ohne Nachteile in der Leistungsfähigkeit.

Das Kältemittel R290 ist weltweit seit vielen Jahren erfolgreich im Einsatz. Zusätzlich gewährleistet die Konstruktion dieser speziellen JULABO Geräte ein Höchstmaß an Sicherheit. Ein hermetisch geschlossener Kältekreislauf reduziert das Risiko einer möglichen Leckage auf ein Minimum. Als Besonderheit wurden alle elektrischen Bauteile ausgelagert. Diese räumliche Trennung der Elektronik vom Kältekreislauf bietet dem Anwender von JULABO Geräten mit natürlichen Kältemitteln sichtbare Sicherheit vor Brandgefahr.
