The J- and M-series' industry-leading MPLS capabilities will enable the Turkish Directorate-General of Security Forces to transport multiple service types, including voice, data and video, over a single IP (Internet Protocol) network infrastructure, and to specify quality of service levels, service priorities and traffic segregation policies for each. The Juniper Networks J- and M-series routers use a hardware-based approach combined with the highly scalable, secure, and reliable JUNOS software, and are designed to create robust, high performing IP/MPLS platforms for service convergence. The J-series is deployed at the smaller "branch" police stations, while the M-series is deployed at the larger sites. Both platforms use the same image of JUNOS, so they are completely interoperable and easily managed by a single team.
"Our M-series portfolio has been proven time and time again in some of the world's most demanding service provider networks, and we also see a lot of take-up for the J-series as a reliable yet scaled router in smaller branch offices." said Gert-Jan Schenk, vice president of operations, EMEA, Juniper Networks. "Therefore they are highly attractive options for enterprises and government organizations, such as the Turkish Directorate-General of Security Forces, who are creating sophisticated, mission-critical next-generation networks of their own".
