With the website’s computerized calculations the customers can easily work out the necessary amounts of tiling, paint, wallpaper, carpeting or parquet. The new websites of currently seven national affiliates are up-to-date and easy-to use with a clear and modern configuration. The conception, design and Flash programming for the individual modules were realized by the Berlin agency Kalteswasser Multimedia GmbH. The Cologne-based PIRONET-NDH AG developed the content management system for the websites.

Besides the universal Europe-wide design, the websites present a high customer’s benefit: the service center offers different furnishing modules, facilitating home’s planning, and arranging. Customers can experiment arranging the furniture, entering the dimensions of a room and dragging the furniture with the cursor into the required position on the outline. The color-your-room module offers experimental color testing for kitchens, bathrooms, or other rooms. The user can then easily imagine what the renovated home will look like and everything can be quickly and easily reconfigured.
The Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG operates around 420 do-it-yourself-markets in 8 countries and is listed at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The websites’ relaunch was controlled by Praktiker’s International Marketing Department, headquartered in Turkey.
