Introducing KeepTool 16: Database Management Efficiency for Oracle databases

A modernized and uncluttered user interface, improved secure connections, an all-new Oracle Rest Data Services (ORDS) page

(PresseBox) (Berlin, )
KeepTool as leader in Oracle database management software, is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the highly-anticipated new version KeepTool 16. With a commitment to innovation, efficiency, and user-friendly interaction, the new release of KeepTool promises a large number of new features, specifically designed to work exclusively with Oracle databases.

One of the most obvious new features in KeepTool 16 is the modernized appearance of the user interface. By reducing visible lines, the operation of the software is made even more intuitive and user-friendly.

Another highlight of version 16 is the ability to establish secure direct TCP/IP connections. Users can now select the desired connection type:
  1. Direct TCP/IP connection:
This connection type establishes a regular direct TCP/IP connection without advanced security.
  2. Direct SSL connection:
For users who require a particularly secure connection, the option of a direct SSL connection is available - the recommended type for demanding security requirements.
  3. Direct SSH connection:
This option allows users to establish a direct SSH connection and enjoy the benefits of added security.
In addition, KeepTool 16 introduces a new page for Oracle Rest Data Services (ORDS). This can be accessed via the "Additional" tab. The new ORDS page provides a user interface for various aspects of ORDS, making it easier to manage and configure ORDS schemas.

The main subjects of ORDS page are:
  • Overview ORDS Modules
  • ORDS Templates
  • ORDS Handlers
  • ORDS Privileges and associated mappings, roles and modules
  • ORDS Roles and associated roles and web service mappings
  • ORDS Objects and members
  • ORDS Clients
  • ORDS Approvals
These are just some highlights of what is to come. KeepTool 16 is set to roll out a vast number of other new features, further enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Oracle database management.

The release of KeepTool 16 is scheduled for the fall of 2023. The software will provide indispensable support to Oracle database developers, administrators, and end users.

Stay tuned for more detailed updates as we approach the launch.
