KeepTool secures database connections with encryption

More data security by using of cryptographic procedures and checksum creation

Oracle databases are often used in projects with high data security requirements. The connections to the databases must also meet these requirements.

Therefore, KeepTool offers these new features in the current version of its tools:
  • Encryption of database connections
  • Verification of data integrity by checksum creation
  • Display of encryption and checksums for all sessions
KeepTool uses cryptographic procedures provided by Oracle for this purpose. Thus, KeepTool secures the connections between its tools and the Oracle databases. In addition, the checksum generation enables the verification of data integrity.

Another highlight is an extension of the session monitoring. This now additionally shows the use of encryption and checksumming of all current database connections. This allows the DB administrator to check compliance with security policies for database access at any time.
