Modules, volumes and user numbers can be determined individually and according to requirements. Individual migration packages or services can also be booked. Based on this technology, a so-called "breathing model" is also conceivable, which automatically adapts to any changes in the company. The tia® archiving solution can be set up and used as quickly and easily as a pop-up tent. The cloud-native technology based on containers and Kubernetes make this possible. Kubernetes is also known as the "operating system for the cloud" and is a technology for orchestrating containers preferably on cloud computing resources. From a business perspective, the advantages of "rental software" are also attractive: lower investment costs, reduction of administrative activities, simplified access.
Winfried Althaus, Managing Director at KGS Software GmbH: "The switch to the cloud cannot be implemented at the push of a button. Rather, it has proven to make sense to initiate the migration step by step. Because the topic of archiving lends itself as a pioneer in this context, we support companies by offering them the option of archiving in parallel, both on-premise and already in the cloud."
Parallel operation is particularly useful for archiving documents. A document archive based on cloud-native software with a new licensing scenario can make companies ready for day X of the big SaaS conversion. It also has the advantage that, based on this example, those responsible progressively learn how the IT infrastructure can be successfully orchestrated across all areas. With this archiving project and the resulting experience, the optimum foundation has been laid for further cloud projects and thus for the entire changeover.
