Haiger, 01 July 2019. In an effort to secure and foster the further development of the corporate group for the long term, the supervisory board at Klingspor AG tapped Olaf ter Jung to join the executive board. Over the last few years, Klingspor AG has enjoyed tremendous growth and keeps expanding at a robust pace - not least in the international marketplace. This development has prompted the supervisory board to place the burden of the overall responsibility for the company's business activities on more shoulders.
From an assistant to an executive
In Olaf ter Jung Klingspor AG is gaining an executive who knows the company like the back of his hand. In 1996, ter Jung joined the company as an assistant to the sales management. He later advanced to become the head of marketing and the Sales Manager Germany South. After playing a major part in Klingspor's global expansion in his capacity as Sales Manager for Germany and general director of sales, he was appointed in 2010 to join the team of executives at Klingspor Management GmbH, focusing on distribution and marketing. “We are thrilled that he agreed to our proposal and consider him to be the right choice - both from a professional and a personal standpoint - to assist me in my responsibilities as CEO“, declares Dr. Steffen Neu in an in-house memo shared with the company's personnel.
Klingspor AG – a Global Player hailing from Hesse
A business that started out as an obscure glue factory evolved into a pre-eminent employer of the Lahn-Dill region thanks to the keen business sense of the company's founding family. 2005 saw the conversion of the Klingspor GmbH into today's Klingspor AG. Since that time, Haiger has been the headquarters of the Klingspor holding company, acting as the central hub coordinating the activities of Klingspor's international subsidiaries around the globe. The fact that 52% of the company’s shares are held by the Walter Klingspor Family Foundation provides the secure foundation the company needs to further evolve.
Klingspor's self-perception as a modern, fair and employee-friendly company has not changed over the years and is still rooted in a business policy that puts the long-term development of the company and its sustained top-line growth front and centre.
