Compared to the likewise universal refractive index detectors, ELSD detectors are significantly more sensitive and gradient capable.
The ELSD from SEDERE are characterized by low temperatures needed for evaporation of the eluent (low-temperature, LT), protecting the analytes. The SEDEX series of low-temperature ELSDs ranges from entry-level instruments with an excellent price/performance ratio to highly sensitive detectors that represent an attractive alternative to charged aerosol detectors.
In addition to offering the devices KNAUER now also provides service for all customers in Germany with a SEDERE detector.
"I am very happy about this exclusive distribution agreement with SEDERE, because it gives us much closer contact with the manufacturer and offers customers in Germany a central point of contact for everything to do with these versatile light scattering detectors," says KNAUER Managing Director Alexandra Knauer.
Located near Orléans, France, SEDERE looks back on around 30 years of experience and has played a decisive role in shaping the market for evaporative light scattering detection in the field of liquid chromatography. SEDERE fully focuses its product range on low-temperature evaporative light scattering detectors applicable for HPLC, UHPLC, GPC, preparative HPLC, flash chromatography, countercurrent chromatography and SFC.
KNAUER has been developing and manufacturing laboratory instruments for almost 60 years and today focuses on systems and components for liquid chromatography and high pressure dosing applications. Engineering services according to customer requirements are an important cornerstone. Owner Alexandra Knauer, who manages the Berlin-based company together with Carsten Losch, is committed to sustainable corporate development, both in terms of user orientation and responsibility for employees and society.
