Convenient electronic attenuation control is achieved using the industry standard I2C interface. Applications include power equalization in multi channel optically amplified networks, gain tilt, and optical power control in reconfigurable networks. It has low excess loss and covers the complete fiber optical communication wavelength range. Customized electronic interfaces and layout are available upon request.
