The new managing director Andreas Boerner has more than 10 years of direct professional experience in the development and sales of laser systems, which gives him insights into a wide range of applications from semiconductor production to fusion research. From this time, he now brings international experience in market development for industrial and scientific applications driven by building close relationships with key users and an openness to innovative approaches into Laser 2000.
Born in Munich, Andreas Boerner holds a master's degree in photonics and is therefore the ideal candidate to further advance the successful development of Laser 2000. He is looking forward to the new challenges: "When supporting customers of all backgrounds, understanding the application requirements on a detailed technical level is key to identify the most feasible solution. Thanks to their broad experience in the field of photonics and their close connection to the users of our broad range of products, our sales engineers can provide valuable input during any project stage. Their ability to shape the best solution in close cooperation with our global partners that way will ensure that Laser 2000 continues to expand its business in all areas of the ongoing photonic revolution".
With Andreas Boerner taking up his new position on June 1, 2020, interim managing director Ronald Bartel, from Laser 2000 investor Gimv, will return as planned to the Advisory Board of which he is the chairman.
