Schnellere Lieferzeiten und eine noch höhere Flexibilität waren der Ansporn zur Erweiterung der Lichtwellenleiter-Konfektionierung bei LASER COMPONENTS. Am Standort in Olching wurden sowohl die Räumlichkeiten vergrößert als auch zusätzliche Arbeitskräfte eingestellt. Der Maschinenpark wurde um weitere Poliermaschinen ergänzt. Mit einem innovativen Inspektions-/Messmikroskop wird nun die Warenausgangskontrolle gesteuert. Hiermit kann eine Messung der Exzentrizität, Faserkern zu Stiftaußendurchmesser, und die Dokumentation der Steckerstirnfläche durchgeführt werden.

Neue Fertigungstechnologien halten bei LASER COMPONENTS ebenfalls Einzug. So zeigen die ersten AR-Beschichtungen von polierten Steckerstirnflächen bereits hervorragende Ergebnisse. Auch Assemblies für medizinische Anwendungen und zur Übertragung hoher Leistungen werden am Standort auch in Serien bis 1.000 Stück gefertigt.
