The volume Bragg grating, VBG®, allows the laser wavelength to be stabilized as accurately as ± 0.5 nm; thus for the most part, the wavelength does not depend on the temperature. At the same time, the optical full width half maximum is reduced to < 0.003 nm.
The fiber-coupled 530 nm laser source is equipped with an integrated driver, TE cooler, and a monitor diode; it is optimally suited as an inexpensive light source for Raman spectroscopy.
The new compact housing facilitates optimal heat conduction. The Raman Boxx can be operated in cw mode as well as modulated up to 100 kHz. The optical output power out of a single-mode fiber is >40 mW at a long-term power stability of <2%.
