Bei LASER COMPONENTS stehen nun alle state-of-the-art Beschichtungsverfahren für Laseroptiken zur Verfügung. Nach den umfangreichen räumlichen Vergrößerungen wurde auch der Maschinenpark erweitert. Gerade in Betrieb genommen ist die Beschichtungsanlage für das Ionenstrahl-Zerstäuben, Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS). Hiermit können kompakte und driftfreie Layer hergestellt werden, die bezüglich Temperaturschwankungen unempfindlich sind. Dadurch, dass diese Beschichtungen bei niedrigen Temperaturen aufgebracht werden, ist fortan die Beschichtung auf anspruchsvollen Materialien wie bspw. Laserkristallen möglich.

Als Besonderheit können bei der bei LASER COMPONENTS installierten Anlage die Brechwerte im Prozess variiert werden. Dies ermöglicht neben neuartigen Beschichtungen Coatings mit sehr hohen Zerstörschwellen.
