Beim Schienenverkehr, in der Luftfahrt aber auch im Schiffsverkehr werden optische Fasern zur zuverlässigen Datenübertragung eingesetzt. Die Umgebungsbedingungen sind dabei häufig besonders rau, wodurch sich spezielle Anforderungen an die Beschaffenheit der optischen Kabel ergeben. Hierfür hat LASER COMPONENTS nun die LSZH HCS® Kabel von OFS fitel ins Programm aufgenommen, die eine hohe Temperatur- und Feuchtestabilität sowie eine gute Resistenz gegenüber Chemikalien aufweist. Die Kabel sind kompatibel zur Crimp & Cleave Technik mit ST, SMA und F07 Steckern und mit Faserkern-Durchmessern von 50 µm, 62,5 µm und 200 µm erhältlich.

Die Kabel sind nach allen gängigen Qualitätsvorschriften einsetzbar. Sie sind UL-1666 qualifiziert und erfüllen die IEC und RoHS-Kriterien. Kritische Materialien wie PVC, Bisphenol A und Antimontrioxid werden nicht eingesetzt.
