The axis of conventional laser modules are not exactly parallel to one another. Some applications need maximum parallelism: For example, if the laser is used to mirror a rotational axis, if it is used to align machines or axis, or if the laser is applied in the positioning of machines in fixed mounts and must, therefore, always hit the same spot.
The beam angle error of the LT-LM-IRB series is only 0.05 mrad; this corresponds to a deviation of ± 0.05 mm at 20 m. The lasers have a wavelength of 635 nm - a bright, well-visible red. The optical power is 1 mW; thus it is a class 2 laser that does not require any extra safety precautions.
The integrated battery has a capacity of 400 mAh; this is enough for a duration of operation of ten hours. Battery pack and laser are included in one housing at a length of 130 mm and a diameter of 35 mm.
