Mit der SilverFast Scansoftware wird der effektiv nutzbare Dynamikumfang vieler Scanner, basierend auf der ISO Norm 21550, oftmals mehr als verdoppelt.SilverFast Multi-Exposure, (Patent angemeldet) eine Funktion der SilverFast Versionen SilverFast SEPlus und Ai IT8 Studio, sorgt für bestmögliche Bildqualität und erzeugt durch die Mehrfachbelichtung maximale Bilddynamik und deutlich reduziertes Bildrauschen beim Scannen von Durchlichtvorlagen. SilverFast Multi-Exposure macht auch in hellsten und dunkelsten Bildpassagen feinste Nuancen sichtbar. Im Gegensatz zum konventionellen Multi-Sampling wird das Original mehrfach mit unterschiedlichen Belichtungsintensitäten gescannt. Der effektiv nutzbare Dynamikumfang vieler Scanner wird oftmals mehr als verdoppelt.

SilverFast Ai IT8 Studio gewährleistet darüber hinaus stimmige und konsistente Farben mit der von LaserSoft Imaging entwickelten vollautomatischen IT8-Kalibration. Wird das LaserSoft Imaging original IT8-Target (patentiert) auf dem Scanner platziert, reicht ein Mausklick, um die neue Funktion zu starten. Es folgt die Berechnung und Erstellung eines ICC- Profils - ebenfalls vollautomatisiert.
