LEONHARD KURZ and Steinemann DPE – a KURZ company – take this event as an occasion to present state-of-the-art solutions for digital finishing, cold transfer, and hot stamping under the motto ‘Being a pioneer. Creating the future of embellishment’.
DM-UNILINER 3D: Digital coating and metallizing
During the event, KURZ and Steinemann DPE will demonstrate the impressive design freedom offered by the DM-UNILINER 3D digital print finishing machine. The stand-alone unit enables both flat and fascinating three-dimensional digitally printed metallization effects as well as the edge-to-edge application of fine details and larger surface decorations. Whether high-gloss or matte designs, the DM-UNILINER 3D can implement various embellishments in a roll-to-roll process. Digital metallization, for example, can be applied similarly to analog finishing in cold transfer before color printing (preprint) and then overprinted in color. It also can be used similarly to analog hot stamping decoration after color printing (postprint). In addition, the stand-alone solution offers a high degree of flexibility because it can operate independently of the CMYK printing system and process. As a genuine system solution, all components of the DM-UNILINER 3D match each other perfectly. Machines, software, consumables, and service come from a single source.
Efficient, sustainable, and individual solutions for label finishing
LEONHARD KURZ is committed to greater sustainability in surface finishing and is constantly developing its products and processes. In St. Gallen, the thin-film specialist will showcase DISTORUN®, a module characterized by high efficiency which contributes to sustainable and economical production. The unit enables the printing of still unused areas on already applied cold transfer products. This way, each roll can be used several times to save resources. The possibility of single image applications such as 3D holograms through the DISTORUN® cold transfer module offers customers significant added value for individual brand identity.
