WERKWAND can be used to effectively support and speed up work processes, both in daily meetings as well as conferences and seminars that last several days. In open plan offices, WERKWAND elements help to interlink individual work and meetings. In addition, they can be used as visual and acoustic separators for work areas. Among the first buyers of the office furniture produced by the company Lion and Fishes based in Frankfurt/Main were banks, an insurance company, a university of design as well as several advertising agencies. WERKWAND is currently marketed and sold directly. However, negotiations with renowned furniture manufacturers and sales partners are in progress. WERKWAND is made in Germany.
“The design award is proof that our product enables employees to exchange knowledge quicker and more efficiently and can thus work more effectively”, says Axel Baumhöfner, designer of WERKWAND and managing director of Lion and Fishes. With ever growing customer demands, companies are faced with more intense competition and more difficult economic conditions. Management and employees must therefore restructure processes on an ongoing basis. And this needs to be done as fast and efficiently as possible. In order to foster knowledge transfer and creativity, large companies like Google or Adidas provide dedicated learning spaces for their employees. These are often customised, with only a few system solutions available to date. The Frankfurt inventors of WERKWAND tested the suitability of their idea for daily use for several years in the offices of an insurance company that is listed on the stock exchange.
