BLECH Russia 2013 takes place in an environment of growth for suppliers to the Russian sheet metal working industry

(PresseBox) (St Albans, )
BLECH Russia 2013 will take place from 12-14 March 2013 at the Lenexpo Exhibition Complex in St. Petersburg, Russia. A total of 122 exhibitors from 14 countries worldwide have booked their stands at the third edition of this specialised trade exhibition for the Russian sheet metal working industry. A large number of exhibitors are Russian companies representing some sixty renowned technology brands for sheet metal working applications. However, more than half of the exhibitors come from outside Russia, namely from Germany, Belarus, Italy, Austria, China, Finland, France, Latvia, the Netherlands, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey and the USA.

“For foreign exhibitors, this dedicated trade exhibition for Russia’s sheet metal working industry is an excellent opportunity to gain new contacts and develop business relations and partnerships in the expanding Russian market. Continuous growth forecasts for the Russian sheet metal working industry and the favourable location of this exhibition in booming St. Petersburg are the best conditions for a successful BLECH Russia event,” says Susanne Rauberger, Exhibition Director BLECH Russia 2013, on behalf of the organisers.

Russia’s growing domestic demand is driven by an ongoing need for modernisation and development of the country’s infrastructure and an increasing demand for consumer goods such as cars, white goods, electrical appliances and electronic equipment. The country holds a positive economic outlook and remains a key growth market for international automotive manufacturers and suppliers of sheet metal working machines, tools and systems. Growth is expected to vary between 8-14% throughout the next decade.

International partnerships have become essential in fostering technology transfer, opening unique opportunities in the wider St. Petersburg area, with its focus on automotive, shipbuilding as well as innovative electronic, metal working and environmental technologies. The St. Petersburg region is also the fastest growing industrial area in Russia, offering a high investment potential together with a large base of already established international production companies. St. Petersburg is a major automotive production centre; resident international companies include Toyota, General Motors, Nissan, Suzuki, Hyundai, Ford, Scania, MAN and Magna.

BLECH Russia covers all core sectors of the sheet metal manufacturing process: Sheet metal, finished and semi-finished products, handling, forming, separation and joining technology, flexible sheet metal working, machine elements, handling, surface treatment, CAD/CAM applications as well as tools and services.

Co-located with this year’s exhibition, the new event, Fastener Fair Russia 2013, will be held alongside BLECH Russia 2013 at the Lenexpo exhibition centre in St. Petersburg. Fastener Fair Russia is a trade show dedicated to the Russian fastener and fixing industry and covers the complete range of industrial fasteners and fixings, construction fixings, assembly and installation systems and fastener manufacturing technology.

BLECH Russia is open on 12 and 13 March 2013, from 10:00 - 17:00, and on 14 March 2013 from 10:00 - 16:00. The exhibition website provides comprehensive information for exhibitors and visitors: www.blechrussia.com.
