The 20th EuroBLECH, the world’s leading exhibition for the sheet metal working industry, opened its doors today in Hanover, Germany. With 1,520 exhibitors from 38 countries presenting their products, tools and services in a net area of 87,700m², the show has grown considerably since 2006. There has been an 8% increase in exhibitors and a 15% increase in floor area.
In addition to Germany, whose exhibitors make up 44.5%, the main exhibiting countries are Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The USA, Turkey, China and Taiwan are also in the Top Ten exhibiting countries.
To commemorate the opening of the 20th anniversary EuroBLECH show, the organisers Mack Brooks Exhibitions, today extended a Loyalty Award to their longest-standing exhibitors. The companies LVD Company nv from Belgium, Trumpf GmbH & Co.KG and Heinrich Georg GmbH Maschinenfabrik (both from Germany), have been exhibiting at every EuroBLECH show since 1974. The Lord Mayor of Hanover, Stephan Weil presented the awards to the dedicated exhibitors.
Visitors to the trade fair can expect an enormous range of novelties. The innovations on show, centre around topics such as flexibility in production, improvement of quality, energy and cost efficiency and environmental impact. Practical demonstrations of machines and systems are a focal point of EuroBLECH 2008. As well as tool and machine manufacturers, service providers and research facilities, steel companies are also represented at the show.
