EuroBLECH is the largest sheet metal working exhibition worldwide, with a net exhibition space of 87,700 square metres. When EuroBLECH 2008 closed its doors today, the show had attracted 69,400 visitors from some 70 countries. This means that the leading trade fair for the sheet metal industry is yet again able to report a visitor record as well as a record number of exhibitors and floor space.
“An increase of 8% in exhibitor and visitor numbers is of course a very positive result,” says Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director EuroBLECH on behalf of the organisers Mack Brooks Exhibitions. “We are particularly delighted to be able to say that there was lively trading activity throughout the eight exhibition halls, even though the current economic situation is uncertain. A large number of exhibitors were able to report buoyant sales figures. Exhibiting companies participated in the show primarily in order to expand their business activities on an international level,” explains Nicola Hamann.
Traditionally, EuroBLECH has a very high percentage of foreign exhibitors and visitors, and this year is no exception: 44.5% of exhibitors and 35.5% of visitors came from outside Germany. The EU member states as well as Switzerland are the most prevalent countries, but there was also an above average increase in visitors from Turkey and the Americas this year.
In the surveys, the show received excellent evaluations from both, visitors and exhibitors, from inside and outside Germany. Participants were very satisfied, particularly with the comprehensive range of products on offer and with the international flavour of the show. 76% of exhibitors intend to exhibit again at the next show. EuroBLECH 2010 will take place from 26 – 30 October 2010, in Hanover, Germany.
