From 19 -21 March 2013 converting specialists from all over the world come together in Munich for their leading industry event, ICE Europe, to discover technical advancements and future trends, and to source suitable equipment for their companies. Exhibiting companies are presenting a comprehensive variety of machines, systems and accessories for the converting of flexible web materials, such as paper, film, foil and nonwovens.
With its theme ‘Ideas and Expertise for Converting Specialists’, innovations and its practical applications are in the focus of ICE Europe 2013. The exhibition profile includes machines, accessories and systems for coating and laminating, drying/curing, treatment, slitting/rewinding, finishing and flexographic / rotogravure printing. Materials, software, retrofits, factory equipment, control/test and measurement as well as consulting and toll converting services will also be on display.
This year’s event is once again highly international, with 41% of the exhibitors coming from outside Germany. The biggest exhibitor countries after Germany are Great Britain, Italy, the USA, Switzerland and France.
“With the ever increasing worldwide demand for flexible packaging solutions and a strong market for added-value products, the converting industry is facing exciting times with remarkably positive business opportunities,” explains Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director ICE Europe, on behalf of the organisers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions.
“With ICE Europe we offer the converting industry a highly specialised platform to build global business contacts, develop networks and exchange expertise,” says Nicola Hamann.
For the first time, CCE International 2013, Europe’s only dedicated trade fair for the corrugated and folding carton industries, will be co-located to ICE Europe. “For converting specialists and packaging professionals the co-location of events will provide even more business contacts and sourcing opportunities for sustainable packaging solutions,” says Nicola Hamann.
A three-day technical conference, organised by AIMCAL (Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators) in association with the Fraunhofer IVV Institute, will be held alongside the exhibition. The conference takes place every day between 10am-12pm and topics include web coating and web handling.
