The exhibition categories of interRAMP (ground support equipment), interTERMINAL (technical terminal installations and services) and interDATA (specialised hard and software) have been extended to include interDESIGN (architecture and furnishings) as an individual category. The comprehensive range of products and services will be showcased in halls B5 and B6 of Munich Trade Fair which are directly linked with the outdoor area for the presentation of large-scale exhibits.
Set on expansion
Although the airport community, an industry branch which has been spoilt over the last decades by continuous growth, is not completely immune to the effects of the current economic crises, inter airport Europe 2009 seems set to expand further. Exhibiting companies seem to have focussed on this year’s leading international airport event, because particularly in more difficult times, the exhibition offers them the chance to meet with the right visitors: airport experts and buyers from all over the world.
A good half year ahead of the show’s opening some 25,000 m2, the total exhibition space of the previous event, has already been booked. The 2007 inter airport Europe was a record event, with 600 exhibitors from 30 countries and 13,000 visitors from 128 countries attending the show.
One stop shop
“A survey at the previous inter airport Europe exhibition shows that for both, exhibitors and visitors, the high technical level and quality of the exhibits, the professional atmosphere as well as the international content of the show were major criteria for their participation in the event,” says Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director, on behalf of the organisers Mack Brooks Exhibitions. “For trade visitors our exhibition has the big advantage of being a one stop shop for the airport industry. As the world’s leading airport event, inter airport Europe 2009 covers the whole range of products and services in this industry sector: from GSE, terminal equipment, security systems to specialised hard and software as well as architectural components and design elements,” explains Nicola Hamann.
