Der Ministerpräsident des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt, Dr. Reiner Haseloff, die Bundestagsabgeordnete Heike Brehmer und der Landtagsabgeordnete Daniel Szarata waren zu Gast bei Novoplast Schlauchtechnik. Die Region gehört schon länger zu den etablierten Standorten bei der Entwicklung und Herstellung innovativer medizintechnischer Produkte. Rund um Halberstadt liegt der Fokus auf Kunststoff. Beim Rundgang durch die Produktion zeigte sich die Delegation, zu der auch Geschäftsführer und Werksleiter anderer Halberstädter Medizintechnikunternehmen gehörten, sichtlich beeindruckt: Die im Reinraum produzierten medizinischen Schläuche werden aktuell bei der Versorgung von COVID-19-Patienten eingesetzt. Damit unterstützt Novoplast Schlauchtechnik als eine von zwei Medizintechnik-Sparten der Masterflex Group systemrelevante medizinische Bereiche in Deutschland.
