Anny Way Mobile Data Gateway startet live bei O2 in Deutschland

Allen deutschen Kunden des Netzbetreibers O2 steht ab sofort WAP 2.0 zur Verfügung. Grundlage dafür ist das Anny Way Mobile Data Gateway von MATERNA Information & Communications, das als erstes WAP-Gateway dieses Standards den neuen Protokoll Stack WP TCP und WP HTTP parallel zum bisher eingesetzten WAP Protokoll beinhaltet. Damit wird das Anny Way Mobile Data Gateway zu einem Produkt, das sowohl bereits verfügbare Handytypen als auch Neuentwicklungen einen einheitlichen Zugang zum mobilen Internet ermöglicht. So können demnächst O2-Kunden alle WAP-Angebote auch mit dem neuen Nokia6600 nutzen, das eine WAP 2.0-Unterstützung benötigten wird. Das Gateway bietet einen weiteren großen Vorteil: Mit nur einem Netzelement können Unternehmen und Netzbetreiber alle Dienste managen - egal ob sie auf WAP 1.1, WAP 1.2.1 oder WAP 2.0 basieren.
