Digitalization taken a step further - consolidation of materials information sustainably with Matplus EDA® 22.1

(PresseBox) (Wuppertal, )
Materials and processes offer opportunities and are therefore increasingly part of value-added digitalization in companies. Matplus EDA® is the technically leading and open platform for this. The new version 22.1 includes numerous improvements and is now available for customers.

Matplus EDA®, the expandable platform for materials and their processing, has been continuously expanded by Matplus for 10 years. Today, the system is successfully used by customers in various industries. The goals are often to reduce costs, for example, by reducing complexity, increasing innovation performance and/or increasing productivity in the face of demographic change.

In contrast to classic materials databases, EDA includes scientific-technical functionalities and visualisations from the processing and analysis of data to mathematical modelling. Users appreciate the high flexibility and configurability of the solution without complex programming. IT system managers emphasise the excellent integrability and sustainability due to the modern system architecture, which is based exclusively on open standards (FOSS - Free and Open Source Software).

Master data management for materials is a frequent starting point. Here EDA supports with solid reference databases for different materials, workflows and interfaces to CAD/CAE/PLM/ERP systems. Master data are enriched with laboratory data from demanding material tests and are the basis for mathematical models for material behaviour. These are used in material cards for different FEM simulations.

EDA 22.1. can be used directly by customers without conversions and migrations. They benefit from many detailed improvements, e.g. to the graphical user interface, configurable search masks, improved evaluations and reporting. A striking change at first glance is the new "Dark Mode" at the request of demanding "power users".

Customers and interested parties are invited to discuss experiences and potential applications at the next user conference in Wuppertal on 24/25 May.
More information on the user confrence can be found on Matplus.
