The C-InSight software answers the need for 3D images in the OR. The C-InSight is an affordable and simple solution which brings 3D technology into operating rooms without the need to purchase a new expensive device. Making 3D technology accessible and affordable intra-operatively will reduce the need for costly post-op CT scans for verification of surgical procedure results. This will also provide the surgeon with accurate intra-operative verification of implant placement, thus helping to reduce revision rates. Mazor anticipates to complete successful trials shortly and commercial product is expected by the end of 2008.
"We are pleased to report another significant development with the C-InSight system", says Ori Hadomi, CEO of Mazor Surgical Technologies. "C-InSight is a real breakthrough. Mazor is committed to reduce radiation involved in orthopedic surgery, to save time and minimize invasiveness. We believe that C-InSight, together with our other products bring real solutions to spine and general orthopedic surgeons and patients."
The early version of the C-InSight will be introduced at the SpineWeek in Geneva (Booth #1610) along with Mazor's flagship product the SpineAssist®, the miniature robotic device for guidance and positioning in various spine procedures.
