Rauchen und Krebserkrankungen stehen in engem Zusammenhang: allein in Deutschland sterben jährlich etwa 100.000 Menschen an den Folgen regelmäßigen Nikotinkonsums. Der von mc (https://plus.google.com/...) umgesetzte Spot mit prominentem Vorbild soll Menschen ermutigen, mit dem Rauchen aufzuhören bzw. gar nicht erst anzufangen. Um insbesondere die junge Zielgruppe zu erreichen, ist der Spot mit Benedikt Höwedes nicht nur auf YouTube und in Kinosälen zu sehen, sondern wurde zusätzlich in der Rückrunde der Fußballbundesliga-Saison 2012/2013 gezeigt. Für media consulta war Anja Pavlov, Produktionsleitung mc TV & Filmproduktion, zur Award-Verleihung dabei. "Mit der Kampagne unterstützen wir nicht nur das soziale Engagement der Deutschen Krebshilfe", erläutert mc-CEO Harald Zulauf. "Als Agentur arbeiten wir aus gesellschaftlicher Verantwortung. Das heißt für uns auch, beispielsweise keine Werbe- und PR -Aufträge aus der Tabakindustrie oder für umweltschädliche Produkte bzw. Unternehmen anzunehmen."
Der 6. Health Media Award 2013 wurde unter der Schirmherrschaft von Bundesgesundheitsminister Daniel Bahr u. a. in den Kategorien Kampagnen, Social Media und Publizistik verliehen. Mit dem Preis werden jährlich Bestleistungen im Bereich der Gesundheitskommunikation ausgezeichnet.
