The centerpiece of the new therapy room is the end-effector gait trainer THERA-Trainer lyra, which sets new standards in gait rehabilitation with its advanced robotic-assisted technology. Aiming to sustainably improve patients' mobility and quality of life, the “Gait Continuum” offers a wide range of cutting-edge devices tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
"The Gait Continuum is a major asset for our therapeutic work. The close integration of humans and technology opens up entirely new perspectives in gait therapy. The robotic-assisted therapy devices specifically enhance patients' mobility and performance and can be individually adapted to their needs", said Barbara Göttert, Head of Therapy at Passauer Wolf Bad Griesbach.
The THERA-Trainer lyra is particularly impressive for its ability to simulate natural gait movements, thereby stimulating patients' muscle memory. With the help of individually adjusted body weight support, even immobile patients can train up to 100 steps per minute - an intensity that would be nearly impossible to achieve without technological assistance.
Maximum efficiency and customised rehabilitation
With the interactive training device THERA-Trainer senso, the Passauer Wolf Rehabilitation Center offers another highlight of modern rehabilitation technology. This device combines cognitive and motor exercises, which not only improves physical performance but also enhances mental capacity and significantly reduces the risk of falls. Mayor Fundke, who tested the device himself at the opening ceremony, congratulated the team at Passauer Wolf Bad Griesbach for their expertise and for “bringing Bad Griesbach forward”.
The future of rehabilitation: people and technology in harmony
In his speech, Dr med. Oliver Meier emphasised the importance of technical innovations for modern rehabilitation medicine: “Technological innovations are an essential part of modern rehabilitation medicine. Our patients benefit from this valuable combination of advanced technology and human expertise - this enables visible progress and supports them on their way back to a self-determined life.”
The close partnership with THERA-Trainer emphasises Passauer Wolf’ commitment to making rehabilitation processes more efficient and sustainable through the use of advanced technologies such as the THERA-Trainer lyra and senso. The opening ceremony of the “Gait Continuum” was covered by Niederbayern TV— the full report is available online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SYL5xwrj1k
Using state-of-the-art THERA-Trainer therapy devices, Passauer Wolf once again sets benchmarks in gait therapy, demonstrating that people and technology can together unlock a new dimension of rehabilitation.
