Medineering' s first patent has been granted

The German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) granted the first patent of the Munich based surgical robotics startup Medineering. The patent DE102014016823B4 protects one aspect of the intellectual property of the fundamental technology of the company’s robotic system*.

The modular approach of combining an intelligent positioning arm with compact application-specific robots is totally unique and characterizes every Medineering system. “The first granted patent is an important step for Medineering in establishing a new approach to surgical robotics”, stated Maximilian Krinninger, CTO of Medineering.

*Not yet CE marked or 510(k) cleared and not available for distribution or sale.

Medineering, headquartered in Munich, develops, manufactures and markets an application-specific and convenient robotic portfolio to make the benefits of robotic assistance available to a broad number of patients. The portfolio consists of the Medineering Positioning Arm and compact application-specific robots assisting surgeons in complex anatomical regions.
