Audio Transmission for Robust Box PCs
To enable the transmission of announcements for passengers while traveling by train or bus, the PCI Express Mini Card, PX5, can now be easily plugged into a PIS computer.
The PX5 supports an USB/HID (Human Interface Device) interface to the analog audio functionality, and offers a differential stereo input and output for undisturbed signal transmission.
With the PX5, the functional range of modern passenger information systems can be flexibly extended with a COTS component, saving the time needed for the development of additional audio systems. Box PCs and CompactPCI systems, and also the aircraft server from MEN, offer correspondent slots for the PX5.
For demanding and compact solutions in buses, trains or agricultural and construction vehicles, the robust and modular box PCs from MEN are the perfect match. Designed for an extended temperature range of -40 to +85°C, they also conform to EN 50155 and can be certified to ISO 7637-2 (E-Mark).
