"We've been particularly impressed with the high quality of entries from Germany, France, Hungary, the UK, the US, Israel, the Netherlands, Austria and Serbia, as well as with their diversity," said judging panel member Joachim Stumpp from the Stuttgart materials agency, raumPROBE.
The 11-member international judging panel has now shortlisted 29 entries for the final in Erfurt, where the winners will be announced on 15 June 2016. All the finalists' submissions will also be exhibited at Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D from 14 to 16 June 2016 in Erfurt. The winning exhibits will then embark on an international road show.
The competition is organised by Messe Erfurt, in collaboration with the design and consultancy firm d.sign21.
