Das neue Werk für Spezialgase ist mit hochmodernen Produktions- und Reinigungseinrichtungen sowie einer zusätzlichen Abfüllstation ausgestattet. Jährlich können hier 600 Tonnen Stickstoffoxydul (N2O) mit einer Reinheit von 99,9995 Prozent und andere hochreine Gase für elektronische Anwendungen produziert werden, beispielsweise Silan (SiH4), Ammoniak (NH3) und Wasserstoff sowie verschiedene Gasgemische.
„Die Investition in eine neue Produktionsstätte unterstreicht das Bekenntnis zur Wachstumsstrategie von Messer. Außerdem nutzen wir mit dieser Entscheidung unsere Entwicklungschancen und reagieren flexibel auf den veränderten Gase-Bedarf unserer Kunden“, sagt Werner Hickel, Geschäftsführer von Messer in China.
Bereits 1998 gründete Messer ein eigenes Spezialgasewerk in Wujiang bei Suzhou. Die neue Anlage ist ein wichtiger Meilenstein und stärkt Messers Position als führender Spezialgase-Lieferant im chinesischen Markt. Vor allem aber ermöglicht die Investition, eine Deckung der gestiegenen Kundennachfrage.
