One of the highlights of the celebration week was an open day.
Microtech Gefell presented the entire company on the occasion of the anniversary.
The production facilities, the calibration laboratory, the anechoic chamber for high-precision acoustic measurements and, as a special highlight, the Georg Neumann Museum attracted particular interest.
Opened on the occasion of the company's 85th anniversary in 2013, the Georg Neumann Museum impressively demonstrated the eventful history of the company, which has been based in Gefell for over 80 years, to the numerous local visitors.
The museum was founded in response to the desire to preserve historical know-how and present acoustic technology through the ages to the interested public and experts.
On display and explained were a large number of historical studio and measuring microphones as well as devices and equipment from the fields of record production, acoustic measurement and calibration technology, which have been manufactured since the company was founded over 95 years ago.
The microphones from Gefell were and are legendary and in demand worldwide. Today they are developed by Microtech Gefell GmbH, the company of Georg Neumann's original foundation, which still exists as Georg Neumann KG, manufactured by hand and marketed under the MICROTECH GEFELL trademark.
Many enthusiasts and owners of historic microphones particularly appreciate the fact that Microtech Gefell GmbH still restores them and offers advice.
