MTG sensor+test 2022 Titel.png — After a 2-year Corona-break from Corona, the leading international trade fair for sensor, measuring and testing technology will once again be held as a presence fair in Nuremberg. More than 300 exhibitors are expected. The MTG trade fair spectrum includes new in- and outdoor microphones as well as acoustic measuring systems for industry, environment and science. The focus is on automotive applications such as turnkey test benches and innovations for R&D projects.

MTG Schallleistungs-Hemisphären 1.png — NEW in the Microtech Gefell product range - Sound Power Hemispheres for sound power measurements according to ISO 3744 and ISO 3745. These are available in two different sizes for setting up hemispherical microphone arrangements with radii of 1 or 2 metres for up to 20 microphone positions each. Depending on the measurement task, the SLH can be supplied with standard measurement microphones, particularly low-noise measurement microphones or measurement microphones for harsh environments.

With the sound intensity probe SIS 190 double, the sound intensity can be measured in a very large frequency range. For this purpose, an arrangement of a one-dimensional 1/2" sound intensity probe and a one-dimensional 1/4" sound intensity probe is formed.

SIS 194 3D.png — With the SIS 194 3D 1/4" and SIS 194 3D 1/2", the sound intensity at one point in a room can be measured in all three dimensions simultaneously. For this purpose, an arrangement of three one-dimensional sound intensity probes is formed so that all three axes of the microphone pairs cross at one point and are perpendicular to each other. Each of these microphone pairs represents a one-dimensional sound intensity probe of the conventional type.

Kalibrator 4010.png — The acoustic calibrator 4010 is an acoustic sound source for calibrating and checking microphones and sound level meters. It can generate two different sound pressure levels at two different frequencies, allowing the level linearity and frequency weighting of sound level meters to be checked.

Kalibrator 4011 1.jpg — 4011 Acoustic calibrator 4011 - 1000 Hz - 1/2" and 1/4 - 114 dB - Class 1 calibrator according to IEC 60942 The 4011 Acoustic Calibrator can generate sound pressure levels of 114 dB at a frequency of 1000 Hz, allowing the calibration of sound level meters to be checked.

Microtech Gefell DAkkS accredited Calibration Laboratory.jpg — In our own laboratory, the physical quantities sound pressure and acceleration are calibrated and DAkkS or factory certificates are issued. The accreditation of conformity assessment bodies is the legal mandate of the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS). DAkkS accreditation certifies that accredited bodies perform their tasks competently and in accordance with applicable requirements.

MV 240 digital 1.png — The next step in space research- it is currently planned to use the new digital measuring system MV 240 digital in the development of a special acoustic measuring device for the International Space Station ISS.

MMS 212 4.png — The 1/2“ measurement microphone MMS 212 is very insensitive to extreme temperatures, moisture, dust and vibration. This is achieved by a special design of protection grid, pressure compensation opening and plug connector. The MMS 212 complies the IP rating IP 67 and can be calibrated with a standard 1/2“ sound calibrator. An integrated power-on indicator permanently indicates correct function and ensures reliable measurements.

Microtech Gefell _NEWS_ MMS 214_lownoise .png — The MMS 214 has a particularly low inherent noise level and is designed for acoustic measurements of very low sound pressure levels. The electrical connection is via BNC cables to measuring channels with IEPE supply. The polarisation voltage for the externally polarised measuring microphone capsule is generated in the measuring microphone preamplifier. The measuring microphone is equipped with a built-in memory for microphone identification (TEDS according to IEEE 1451).

The MTG trade fair spectrum includes new in- and outdoor microphones as well as acoustic measuring systems for industry, environment and science.

One focus is on automotive applications, such as turnkey test benches and innovations for R&D in fields of e-mobility, sound design or quality assurance.

Sensor+Test 2022 is also particularly important for Microtech Gefell because it coincides with an important MTG anniversary.

Tradition und Innovation - Measurement microphones and acoustic systems for 85 years

Founded in 1928 by Georg Neumann and today a company of the Georg Neumann KG, Microtech Gefell is more than just a microphone manufacturer for over 90 years - MTG stands for acoustic measurement engineering for 85 years too.

As early as 1937, Georg Neumann was manufacturing measuring microphones in Berlin, later in Gefell.

On this basis, Microtech Gefell developed into an innovative supplier of acoustic sensors.

The MTG focus at this year's Sensor+Test is on sound sensor technology, e.g. measuring capsules, amplifiers, measuring microphones, sound intensity probes, outdoor and environmental microphones, calibrators, power supplies as well as turnkey system solutions, such as complete test stands for indoor and outdoor use or weatherproof microphone units with calibration approval.

The complete R&D and manufacturing process is, as far as possible, carried out in-house, and ranges from developing and fabricating the membranes, the microphone capsules and the electronic circuitry right through to the housings and the mechanical pieces.

Based on extensive experience in equipment technology and room acoustics from the construction of vehicle test benches or studio equipment, the presented trade fair portfolio also includes planning and realisation of complex engineering projects for R&D, environmental and industrial applications.
